MTN uses a Remote IVR and Twist application known as RIVR, as the content service provider access platform.
RIVR enables a pull based content service, whereby the subscribers requests the content whenever they require it by dialing or sending an SMS message to a designated shortcode number.
The request fetches data from the content provider’s server and returns the information via SMS to the customer.
