In order to incentivise WASPs to provide innovative content services and grow the value added content service market, MTN Nigeria has recently revised its revenue share model so that a higher percentage of the revenue is paid out to WASPs as shown in Table 1 below.

This competitive revenue share model, which will apply from the 1st of April 2005, also aims to encourage WASPs to offer superior services to MTN subscribers particularly in the initial period. The revenue share model in Table 2 will then apply and will take effect from January 2007.

The revenue share models apply to monthly call / SMS volumes and are calculated based on gross revenue and paid out less VAT and the appropriate withholding.

Note: The minimum premium price for services using Voice (IVR & RIVR calls) as bearer is N50; using SMS as bearer is N30 per SMS; for MMS is N100 per MMS; and for Content/Event based using GPRS as bearer is N40.
