Save My Contacts is an annual subscription based service, which allows you to back up your contacts, as well as text and messages to a secure, remote online database; without the need for PC connection, cables, PDAs, or any other devices. In addition, from the online area you can send messages to any of the contacts.

Your contacts can be backed up in one batch using Mlife WAP, if your handset has a feature called SyncML. Alternatively, you can use SMS or input your precious numbers into your secure account online.

How to Use the Save My Contacts Service
In order to use SaveMyContacts, you have to follow these steps:

Step 1: Subscribing to SaveMyContacts.

In order to use SaveMyContacts, you are required to subscribe for the service by purchasing a SaveMyContacts Subscription pack from your nearest card dealer. Visit www.savemycontacts.com or call 0803 - 6167111 for more details.

There are two ways to register for SaveMyContacts. You can register by sending an SMS command to 0803 - 9004001 or via the internet at www.savemycontacts.com

Step 2: Registration

SMS Registration
Ensure you are using the phone number (SIM), you wish to register for the service. After you have purchased a SaveMyContacts Subscription card, peel off the scratch panel on the back of the card to reveal your 12 – digit code. Think of a memorable 4 - digit numeric Personal Identification Number (PIN) and send a text message (composed in the following format) to 0803 - 9004001.

SMC*222*12 digit number on scratch panel* 4 digitPIN#

You will receive an acknowledgement text message after successful registration

Internet Registration
For registration via the internet please visit www.savemycontacts.com and click on the register on- line link.

Step 3: Backing up contacts

For users who do not have syncML handsets, contacts can now be backed up by sending them individually to 0803–9004001 or inputted directly at www.savemycontacts.com after signing in as a member with your phone number and 4 - digit PIN

If your handset has a built-in synchronisation feature called syncML, you can automatically configure it to send contacts in one batch. Visit www.savemycontacts.com and log in as a member. From the ‘my details’ area click on the ‘set-up phone’ button and you will be taken through the process.

Alternatively, to get synchronization and Life WAP settings, you can send a request text message to 0803–9004001. The message to be sent depends on your handset type. Some syncML compliant handsets are listed below and an up to date list can be found at www.savemycontacts.com

Step 4: Synchronising

Contacts Synchronisation is performed from the phone memory so all you need to do is ensure that the contacts on your SIM are copied across to the Main phone memory before you commence with synchronization.

Nokia and Ericsson Handsets:

To synchronise, choose the synchronisation feature from your main menu. This is usually expressed as two interlocking icons (two curved arrows) from the main menu; connectivity folder, extras folder or organizer folder.

It is advisable upon locating the synchronization to select settings and ensure savemycontacts is the selected application.

Click on synchronization. This automatically starts the synchronisation session which takes only a few minutes subject to the number of contacts being synchronised.

Upon completion, a synchronisation complete message will be sent.

Step 5: Contacts Update, Restore and Management.

The following features are available to you online once your contacts are synchronised:

a. View saved contacts and text messages
b. Restoring contact information to a new phone
c. Send text messages
d. Send e-mails
e. Update saved contacts

After the unfortunate loss or damage to your handset, in order to restore your contacts to a new phone, you must obtain a Welcome Back Pack, if you intend to use the same MSISDN from which you originally registered.

If you choose to purchase a new MSISDN, you must notify the application of this change by visiting the ‘mydetails’ section at www.savemycontacts.com, or sending a change notification text SMC*227*oldMSISDN*OLDPIN# to 0803 9004001
Then request settings for synchronization as outlined above.

To restore all your contacts to the new handset, navigate to the Synchronisation icon on your handset and select Synchronies. You can also restore your contact over the Internet.

Visit www.savemycontacts.com login using your number in international format (234803XXXXXXX) and enter your PIN (the 4-digit number that you choose during registration).
