MIKE WINS MTN PROJECT FAME WEST AFRICA

Mike Anyazodor has emerged winner of the 10-week long musical reality TV show, MTN Project Fame West Africa Season 2. The MTN Project Fame West Africa (commenced in 2008) and offered MTN an opportunity to connect with the progressive passions of the youth segment, although viewership of the show transcended across other market segments.
Mike won the competition at the grand finale, which took place amidst thrills and excitement at the Ultima Studio. He beat Liberia’s Nicholas Builgar to clinch the first prize of N2.5million, a Toyota Rav 4 jeep and a recording deal worth millions of naira. Nicholas who gave the keys of his Toyota corolla to his mother said he was happy coming second. He also went home with N1.5 million cash prize.
Tomiwa Sangonuga came third and went home with N1 million and a Toyota Yaris car. Krimi Johnson was the last girl standing and smiled home with N1million while Madonna Robinson got N500,000.
Mike expressed delight for emerging the winner of a prize thousands of youths had sought after, saying that winning the show had been the greatest thing that has happened to him.
Mike has been a strong contender for the Project Fame Academy, and his talent and vocal dexterity experienced a remarkable fine – tuning under guidance and coaching of the Academy Faculty, which comprised veteran and multiple award winning actress, Joke Silva as the Principal, music expert and leader of the Adrenalin Band, Ben Ogbeiwi as the music director, singer and voice expert, Dupe Ige as the vocal coach, Zara Udofia was the Dance Instructor and Kayode Ogundepo was fitness instructor.
The MTN Project Fame Kicked –off with the opening gala show on July 19,2009, with 15 contestants selected from various regional auditions across West Africa. They were admitted into the academy, camped for 10 weeks and groomed in the various aspects of musical performances and other elements of stardom.
