Handover Ceremony of Borehole Projects in Kogi State under the MTNF Community Sponsorship Project

The handover ceremonies of Borehole projects in Anokwu-Anyigba Community, Dekina and Nagazi Ogaminana Community, Adavi  local government areas in Kogi State held on the 17th and 18th of March, 2015 respectively

Present at the ceremonies were the following dignitaries:

–     The Ohi of Adavi LGA

–     HOD Works Department, Dekina LGA

–     HOD Education Department, Dekina LGA

–     Information Officer, Dekina LGA,

–     Senior community members of Anokwu-Anyigba community, Dekina LGA

–     Chairman, Nagazi Ogaminana community

Launch of the MTNF-Oracle ICT Skill-Up Project

A joint press conference to announce the Oracle-funded bursary for the CERN Openlab Summer School and the training of 2,000 MTNF Scholars under the MTNF-Oracle ICT Skill-Up Project was held on the 14th May 2015 at the Board Room, MTN Office, Aromire, Ikoyi

53 Beneficiaries of the MTNF- Scholarship Scheme for Blind Students Graduate from the Federal College of Education, Oyo, Oyo State

53 beneficiaries of the MTNF Scholarship Scheme for Blind Students graduated from the Federal College of Education (Special) during the 16th Convocation Ceremony held at the College Campus on the 25th of March, 2015. 30 of the students who graduated at the ceremony were from phase 1 & 2 of the project while 23 where students from the third phase. One of the phase 2 graduands of the MTNF-Scholarship Scheme for Blind Students, Adedokun, Omodele Mary, received a departmental award under the School of Arts & Social Science.

The MTNF EyeRIS Project successfully kicked off at The Trauma & Surgical unit, Medical Village, Laje Rd, Ondo Town, Ondo State, on 2nd March, 2015.

The official flag off ceremony was held on 9th March, 2015 and attended by the Executive Governor, Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, MTNF Director, Mr. Dennis Okoro and Executive Secretary of MTNF, Nonny Ugboma. Other dignitaries present were Traditional Rulers and Members of the Ondo State Executive Council.

HANDOVER CEREMONY OF SECURITY PATROL VEHICLES IN EKITI STATE

Wednesday 14th January, 2015

 

The handing over of the 5 security patrol vehicles to Ekiti State Government was held at the Government House, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State on Wednesday 14th January, 2015. The security patrol vehicles were received on behalf of State by the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Peter Ayodele Fayose.

List of Successful Awardees of the MTNF Science and Technology Scholarship Scheme and Scholarship Scheme for Blind Students

The MTN Foundation Science and Technology Scholarship (MTNF STS) Scheme, now in its Fifth Phase,was introduced in the 2009/2010 academic session to assist high performing

Nigerian students to pursue their academic education in tertiary institutions (Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education) across the country. Each award is worth N200,

000 covering tuition, book allowance and pocket allowance every academic year. Subsequently the scholarship is renewed annually on the condition
