MTN FastMail is the e-mail service that makes use of the SMS feature of your cellphone.

Now you can send text messages in specific formats to read, send, delete mails and do a host of other activities that you would have had via your computer.

Herein is a quick user guide on the commands required to use MTN FastMail.

Choose a username (max 10 characters), choose a password (6 - 8 characters), choose a secret question (1 word) and choose an answer to the secret question (1 word).

For example: Ziggi is registering himself with a password (fyc6v8) and a secret question (pet) with its answer (rex).

To register, Click Register

When you receive a new e-mail , an SMS notification will be sent to your cellphone. You are then required to login to the service, if you haven’t done so already.

For example: Ziggi is logging in with his username and password.

If you want to receive a summary of your mails in your inbox, login first. You can then view the first summary of mails in your inbox, starting with the latest mail.
For each mail, you will receive:

• A message S/N number e.g. 1
• The address of the sender
• The subject

For example: Ziggi is checking the first summary of his mails.

You are able to view the text of a specific mail received. In order to do this, you would need to know the message S/N number e.g. 1. You will be able to view the first 160 characters of that mail

For example: Ziggi wants to view message 1. If he wants to view message 2, he would type 2 etc.

You are able to send mails to any person’s e-mail address.

For example: Ziggi is sending a mail to Carl (carl@web.com).

• An SMS from 130 is free.
