The following Terms & Conditions (T & C) are applicable
to the E-Care Service

  1. E-Care is only available to Postpaid subscribers.
  2. You can only be registered for E-Care when you have completed the following steps:
    - Completed, signed and submitted a physical MTN4U Registration Form indicating that you want to register for E-Care by ticking the E-Care tick-box on the Registration Form, to a MTN Friendship Centres consultant.
    - Received a SMS from MTN informing you what your temporary E-Care Password is.
    - Log on to the E-Care website via mtnonline.com with your temporary E-Care Password and successfully personalised your Password and created you Password Hint Question.
  3. You will be able to add/delete MTN Postpaid services to/from your MTN Account using the E-Care Service however, not all Postpaid services will be available on E-Care. Only certain Postpaid services will be made available and MTN maintains the right to add new or remove existing Postpaid service at any time without giving prior notice.
  4. Activities performed on your MTN Account via the E-Care website can only be made using your MTN cell number and E-Care Password.
  5. You can only view your own MTN Account (the account of the cell number you used to register for E-Care).
  6. If you have registered multiple cell numbers for E-Care you can only view one MTN Account and execute activities on that Account, at any one time.
  7. If you are the E-Care administrator for your Corporate Company you will be able to view all MTN Accounts registered under your Company Name and by signing this Registration Form you certify that you have the right and/or authority to complete this Registration Form and view all records related or associated with the MSISDN specified and indemnify MTN from any claims or entitlements rising from the unauthorised view of such details.
  8. The following existing MTN4U Terms & Conditions (as they appear on the MTN4U Registration Form) need to be updated to cater for E-Care and must read as follows:
    T&C 3: You are entitled to only one MTN4U Account and one E-Care Account per MTN cell number.
    T&C 5: No registration fee will be charged for either MTN4U or E-Care registration.
    T&C 7: You can only register for MTN4U and/or E-Care if your MTN cell number has been activated on the MTN System.
    T&C 16: If you are registered for MTN4U and/or E-Care you can only cancel your MTN4U and/or E-Care registration by completing another MTN4U Registration Form, indicating your request for cancellation of MTN4U and/or E-Care, by selecting the applicable cancellation option on the registration form.
    T&C 30: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your MTN4U password (PIN number) and MTN4U account and/or your E-Care password and E-Care password hint question and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your MTN4U password and MTN4U account and/or E-Care password.
    T&C 31: You agree to (a) immediately notify MTN of any unauthorised use of your MTN4U password and/or E-Care password and/or E-Care password hint question or any other breach of security, and (b) ensure that you exit from your MTN4U Account and/or E-Care access at the end of each session.
    T&C 32: MTN accepts no responsibility for keeping your MTN4U password and/or E-Care Password and E-Care Password Hint Question safe although MTN will endeavour to do so.
    T&C 33: MTN will not be held responsible for any activities that occur (a) under your MTN4U account should your handset be lost or stolen, which includes the transfer of your MTN4U rewards, and (b) on your MTN Account that was initiated from the E-Care website under your E-Care password or E-Care password hint question.
    T&C 44: If your MTN cell number is deactivated, your MTN4U Account and/or E-Care registration will also be deactivated and you will forfeit rewards you may have in your MTN4U account.
    T&C 49: By completing and submitting this Registration Form either for the MTN4U Program or the E-Care Service, the subscriber accepts the Terms & Conditions of the MTN4U Program (particularly the clause above {this refers to the clause preceding this term in the actual MTN4U Registration Form}) and/or E-Care Service as well as the MTN Privacy Policy, and the subscriber indemnifies MTN against any claims of losses or entitlements in respect of the MTN4U Program and/or E-Care Service.
