To migrate to MTN XtraConnect, simply text 700 to 131. First Migration in each 30-day monthly cycle is free. Subsequent migration costs N50.

MTN Family and Friends; This is a service that offers you a half price discount (50% discount) on our regular call rates to 4 registered numbers. Family & Friends (FaF) is available only on XtraConnect only.
How to Use MTN Family & Friends
To register your Family & Friends numbers: Dial *560*1*FaF_number# For example, *560*1*08031234567#.
To de-register your FaF numbers: Dial *560*2*FaF_number# For example, *560*1*08031234567#
To view your FaF numbers: Dial *560#
MTN Share and Sell
Share ‘n Sell allows you to send credit from your prepaid account to another MTN customer's prepaid account using SMS or USSD. That way, you can keep your family and friends topped up and connected! In addition, transferring credit does not cost you anything!
To make sure that nobody uses your phone to transfer credit without your permission, we have added a security feature which consists of a 4 digit PIN. Before you can transfer credit, you are required to change the temporary or default PIN, 0000 to your own personal 4 digit PIN known to you alone.
To change your PIN using SMS:
*Send a text message to 777: default_PIN New_PIN New_PIN e.g. 0000 1234 1234
* When the default PIN has been changed to you new PIN, you will receive a message informing you that your PIN was changed successfully
To change your PIN using USSD:
· Dial *601*default_PIN*New_PIN*New_PIN# Send/Ok e.g.*601*0000*1234*1234# Send/Ok
· When the default PIN has been changed to you new PIN, you will receive a message informing you that your PIN was changed successfully
To transfer credi6t using SMS:
· Send a text message to 777: Transfer Recipient’s_Number Amount PIN e.g. Transfer 08031234567 1500 1234
· You will receive a message asking you toØ confirm that you want to make the transfer
· To confirm the transfer,Ø text YES to 777
· When the transfer has beenØ completed, you will receive a message informing you that the transfer was successful
To transfer credit using USSD:
· Dial *600*Recipient’s Number*Amount*PIN# e.g. *600*08031234567*1500*1234#
· When the transfer has been completed, you will receive a message informing you that the transfer was successful.
Please note that:
· You can only transfer credit in Naira amounts and not in kobo i.e. you can transfer NGN71.00 but not NGN71.99.
· If your MTN prepaid account does not have enough credit to cover the amount you have requested to transfer, the transaction will not be completed and you will receive an error message
· All SMS and USSD for transferring credit using Share ‘n Sell are free of charge – only the amount that you want to transfer is deducted from your account.
