Treasure Hunt

With effect from 27th of October, 2008, MTN will be introducing the MTN Treasure Hunt Promotion.

This is an SMS based promotion with the following mechanics:

HOW TO PLAY!

Send a text message "TREASURE" to the short code 77777; to register

MTN will send a response to the customer containing a question.
The customer will respond with the answer and will receive a confirmation SMS of the points he/she has earned.
The more responses or answers the customer sends to 77777, the more points he/she will earn.
The more points the customer earns, the greater her/his chances of winning in the weekly draws.
Each SMS costs N100 (one hundred naira).
The list of winners will be published weekly in the national dailies.

Prizes to be won are worth over N140million (N100m in one hundred days, N2m weekly and a grand prize of N10m). Also up for grabs are 70 units of each of the following items

Plasma TV Sets
Handsets
DVD players.

We are the promoter of the 100million Naira in 100 Days Promotion ( “Service"), which is a competition for a chance to win prizes through entry to a premium rate shortcode.

Customers will be notified of any prizes they have won first by MTN Customer Care Hotline 180 and then by mail if applicable. They will have to provide information to prove ownership of the winning phone number and proof of age which will be communicated in the call.
A customer is not confirmed of being an actual winner until evidence is confirmed of ownership of the phone line. MTN will contact you about how you can confirm ownership of the winning number.
Subject to the foregoing, We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without notice. By continuing to use the Service You will be deemed to have accepted these and any varied terms and condition which will be posted on the Service.
The Service and features within the Service may also be protected by intellectual property rights belonging to MTN or to its licensors. Un-subscription will take place within 24 hours from the time you unsubscribe yourself from the homepage. Un-subscription to the Service will be confirmed by SMS to the users phone.
Multiple winners may be subject to tie-break to decide an outright winner.
Any deviation from the rules and/or attempt to manipulate the outcome of a Prize will result in disqualification.
Judge’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

We reserve the right to replace the advertised prizes with prizes of the same or greater value. There will be no cash alternative or cash equivalent in respect of consolation prizes.
Prizes are non-transferable in whole or in part and must be taken as stated.
