Every single day, Nigeria loses about 2,300 children under five and 145 women of childbearing age. Nigeria is the second-largest contributor to the under-five and maternal mortality rate in the world accounting for 14% of the world’s maternal mortality deaths (the highest in West and Central Africa).
This cause is aimed at contributing to the drastic reduction of Nigeria’s high maternal and infant mortality rate by creating awareness about the scourge and by implementing various projects and interventions towards improving the health of mothers and children in Nigeria.
Objectives of the Mother and Child Health Cause:
- Contribute to keeping Mothers and Children under 5 alive.
- Contribute to improving the health and wellbeing of Nigerians.
