MTN Scholarship Schemes (Science & Technology and Blind Students)
This initiative fully aligned with SDG 4 – Quality Education, SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 9 – Industry Innovation and Infrastructure involves the provision of academic scholarships annually to eligible high performing 300 level students studying full-time Science & Technology related courses as well as 200 level blind students studying any discipline in public tertiary institutions (universities, polytechnics & colleges of education) across Nigeria since 2009.
The sum of N200, 000 is awarded to each student per session until graduation as long as they continue to meet the required CGPA, and the award covers tuition, book allowance, and stipend.
From inception, MTNF has awarded Scholarships to 3,829 students under both schemes across the 36 states and FCT. Graduating students also benefit from the Employability workshops which is designed with the objective to prepare them for the workplace. They are afterwards inducted into the MTNF Scholarship Student Alumni.
