Our Causes

Youth Empowerment

“Young people should be at the forefront of global change and innovation. Empowered, they can be key agents for development and peace. If, however, they are left on society’s margins, all of us will be impoverished. Let us ensure that all young people have every opportunity to participate fully in the lives of their societies.”

– Kofi Annan

Our young ones with their relentless drive, strong ambition and mind-boggling dreams are the backbone of endless possibilities for this nation.

As they become educated adults with fewer dependencies and new opportunities to acquire wealth, savings and purchasing power, they are better able to accelerate economic growth and development.

A rise, however, in unemployed young Nigerians will cause an increase in violent crimes, restiveness, and socially delinquent behaviour. According to the National Bureau of Statistics’ (NBS) Labour Force Survey, Nigeria’s unemployment rate was 27% in Q2 2020.

It is imperative that we invest in our tomorrow, today, through the empowerment, education, and employment of our young adults.

Our goal: Is to provide capacity building for the youth, focusing on enhancing entrepreneurial, academic, and digital literacy skills to facilitate employment and the socio-economic development of our communities across Nigeria.

Objectives of the Youth Empowerment Cause:

To complement and support the government’s efforts:

  • In youth unemployment, and skills acquisition interventions towards national development and protection.
  • In reducing poverty and social crimes in the country.

This Cause is in line with UN Goal’s 4: Quality Education, Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy and Goal 17: Partnerships to achieve the Goal), in partnership with the Federal and State ministries on Youth Development.
