What Can We Do Together Initiative
The MTNF What Can We Do Together project is a community based “give-back” initiative and is designed to get Nigerians to nominate selected projects for particular communities to be implemented by MTN Foundation
The initiative started in September 2015 and has had three phases with various interventions rolled-out successfully in 510 communities under 454 LGAs in Nigeria
This initiative has improved the quality of life for 510 communities under 454 LGAs across the country through the following:
- Availability of potable water in 50 communities
- Improved power supply in 40 communities
- Improved learning environment in 174 public secondary schools
- Provision of required medical equipment & consumables for improved quality of service in 120 Primary Health Care Centres
- Provision of household items to 66 orphanages
- Provision of school learning materials to over 15,000 pupils in 60 primary schools across the country
It is aligned with SDG4-Quality Education, SDG3-Good Health & Well-Being.
