A. Yes, you will receive the airtime bonus through MTN TopIt recharge ONLY when you select the Garabasa option.

A. NO, you will NOT receive any Garabasa bonus if you receive airtime from MTN Share.

How do I get the Garabasa bonus? How do I get the Garabasa bonus?

A. Simple, just recharge using the *800*Recharge PIN# or other eligible channels. As soon as your recharge is successful, the full-face value of the recharge and airtime bonus will be credited in your Garabasa account.

Examples:

  • If you recharge with ₦100, you will get total of ₦1000 in your Garabasa account, where ₦800 (i.e. ₦700 + ₦100 recharge value) will be credited in Garabasa airtime account and ₦200 into Garabasa data.
  • If you recharge with ₦90, you will get total of ₦630, where ₦540 (i.e. ₦450 + ₦90 recharge value) will be credited in Garabasa airtime and ₦90 into Garabasa data account.
Will I receive the airtime bonus if I recharge using the normal recharge code *555*PIN#? Will I receive the airtime bonus if I recharge using the normal recharge code *555*PIN#?

A. If you recharge using *555*PIN# you will NOT receive the 1000% or 700% Garabasa bonus BUT, you will receive the bonus applicable to the recharge code, if available on your plan.

A. You will be charged at the rates on the table below when you use your Garabasa account for the following activities:

Can I use the Garabasa airtime to make international calls? Can I use the Garabasa airtime to make international calls?

No. You will not be able to use the Garabasa airtime to make international calls. You can use the airtime on your main account to make the international calls.

Will I be able to subscribe to any service (Data bundle, MTN Back up, CallerTunez, MTN Play, VAS etc) from my Garabasa account? Will I be able to subscribe to any service (Data bundle, MTN Back up, CallerTunez, MTN Play, VAS etc) from my Garabasa account?

A. No, you will NOT be able to subscribe to any service from your Garabasa account BUT you can still subscribe to these services from your normal main account.

What is the validity of the airtime in my Garabasa account? What is the validity of the airtime in my Garabasa account?

A. The airtime in the Garabasa account will be valid for 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, or 30 days depending on the recharge band.

1000 – and above 30 days

Note: After expiry, all unused bonus will be cleared from the Garabasa account

A. As soon as you exhaust the airtime in your Garabasa account, your calls, SMS and data will be charged from your main account at your default tariff plan rate only if you have enough airtime.

A. In the event you recharge again with the Garabasa code, you will receive the Garabasa bonus; and your calls, SMS and data will then be charged from your Garabasa account and at the Garabasa rate.

A. You can check your Garabasa via these channels:

  • *310# USSD channel
  • myMTN App & Web
  • MTN ChatBot
Will I lose the airtime in my Garabasa account if I migrate to any other plan? Will I lose the airtime in my Garabasa account if I migrate to any other plan?

A. If you migrate to any other plan, you will NOT lose the airtime in your Garabasa account.

Will I be able to transfer airtime from my Garabasa account to another customer’s account through MTN Share?  Will I be able to transfer airtime from my Garabasa account to another customer’s account through MTN Share?

A. No, you will NOT be able to transfer airtime from your Garabasa account to another customer’s account through MTN Share.

How many SMS will I be able to send from my Garabasa account? How many SMS will I be able to send from my Garabasa account?

A. You will be able to send 75 SMS from your Garabasa account weekly. You can choose to send all the 75 SMS in a day, but thereafter all your SMS will be charged from your main account, till after 7 days, or another Garabasa recharge.

If I do not have airtime in my main account after sending the 75 SMS, will I be able to send the SMS? If I do not have airtime in my main account after sending the 75 SMS, will I be able to send the SMS?

A. No, you will not be able to send SMS again until after 7 days or whenever you recharge again. However, if you have another airtime bonus, you will be able to send SMS from the bonus account.

Is there a restriction on the number of SMS I can send from my main account?  Is there a restriction on the number of SMS I can send from my main account?

A. No, you can send as many SMS as you want from your main account as long as you have enough airtime.

If I have a debt on my line, will I get the full bonus value on my line when I make a Garabasa recharge? If I have a debt on my line, will I get the full bonus value on my line when I make a Garabasa recharge?

A. No, you will not get the full value of the recharge bonus when your line is having a debt. You will only get the full value of the recharge when your line is not having a debt at the time of the Garabasa recharge.

Example 1: Cynthia has a ₦100 debt on her line and makes a ₦100 Garabasa recharge. The N100 will be used to clear her outstanding loan and she will not get any Garabasa bonus on her line.

Example 2: Camille has a ₦80 debt on her line and makes a ₦100 Garabasa recharge. N80 will be used to clear her outstanding loan and the remaining N20 will be credited into her Garabasa account where she will get N120 for National calls, SMS, International calls to 5 countries & N20 for data.

Example 3: Cassandra has a ₦150 debt on her line and makes a ₦100 Garabasa recharge. N100 will be used to settle part of her loan and she will not get any Garabasa bonus on the recharge because she still has an outstanding N50 loan.
