Q. What is LTE 100% and 25% bonus offer?

A. This offer rewards MTN customers who newly upgrade their SIMs to 4G/LTE with 100% bonus on select data plans from N15,000 and below from month 1 to month 3, and 25% bonus on select data plan they buy from month 4 to month 6. In addition, the offer allows customer who are having 4G SIM to enjoy 25% bonus on select data plans they buy for 6 months.


Q. How can I check if my SIM card is 4G/LTE enabled?

A. Simply send ‘4G’ to 131 via SMS to check if your SIM card is 4G/LTE enabled.


Q. Who can enjoy the LTE 100% and 25% bonus offer?

A. All customers who newly upgraded their SIMs to 4G/LTE and those who are already using 4G/LTE SIMs that meets below requirements:

    • 4G/LTE compatible phones/devices;
    • Connected their phones to 4G/LTE network
    • Are within MTN 4G/LTE network coverage location

Q. How can I opt-in for the LTE 100% and 25% bonus offer?

A. If you newly upgraded your SIM to 4G, you do not have to dial or send any opt in code to enjoy the offer. Simply buy select data bundles from N15,000 and below for 3 months to enjoy the 100% bonus from the moment your SIM is upgraded, and buy select data plans to enjoy 25% bonus from month 4 to month 6.

However, if you have already upgraded your SIM to 4G, you will have to text ‘LTE to 131’ to opt-in and enjoy 25% bonus on select data bundles you buy for 6 months.


Q. Will I be able to use my LTE 100% and 25% bonus data if I am not connected on 4G/LTE network?

A. You will be able to use the 100% and 25% bonus data on any network connection with your newly upgraded SIM. But, you will only be able to use the 25% bonus data for already upgraded customers on 4G network connection.


Q. Will I be able to enjoy the LTE 100% and 25% bonus offer with my newly activated 4G SIM?

A. You will not enjoy the bonus offer with your newly activated 4G SIM and even if you text the opt-in keyword ‘LTE to 131’.


Q. How will I know I am qualified for the LTE 100% and 25% bonus offer after upgrading my SIM to 4G?

A. As soon as you upgrade your SIM to 4G, you will receive a welcome message informing you about the LTE 100% and 25% bonus offer on your line.


Q. What are the MTN data bundles I can enjoy the LTE 100% and 25% bonus offer?

A. You will be able to enjoy the LTE 100% bonus only on select data plans from N15,000 and below while the 25% bonus is also applicable on select MTN data plans you buy. See table below for details.


Q. How many times can I enjoy the LTE 100% and 25% bonus offer?

A. The LTE 100% and 25% bonus offer is one-off and you will only be able to enjoy it once after your SIM has been upgraded to 4G.


Q. What is the validity of the LTE 100% and 25% bonus data?

A. The 100% and 25% bonus will have the same validity with the data bundle you activated.

Example: If you activated a monthly data bundle, the main data and the data bonus will be valid for 30 days.


Q. Will I be able to roll over my unused bonus?

A. You will be able to roll over ONLY unused data bundle but CANNOT rollover your unused LTE 100% and 25% bonus data.
