You will be able to enjoy the offer for a period of 3 months.


I am currently enjoying the offer, will I be required to opt in to continue enjoying the offer?

No, you will not be required to opt in to enjoy the offer.


What happens if I cancel the pop-up opt-in Menu?

If you cancel the pop-up opt-in menu received after recharge, you will NOT be able to enjoy the 300% bonus on recharge and TGIF bonus BUT you will still be able to opt-in again during the offer period.


When does my 3 months offer period start? After I opt-in or after my first recharge?

Your 3 months starts as soon as you opt-in for the Welcome Back Offer.


Will I enjoy the 300% bonus on every recharge?

Yes, you will receive the bonus on every recharge from N100 – N1000 for the next 3 months.


Will I enjoy the 150MB TGIF Data bonus on every recharge?

Will I receive the TGIF bonus if my first recharge of the week is on Friday?

Yes, you will receive the bonus if your first recharge of the week is on Friday BUT you will ONLY be able to use it on the same Friday you received it between 12AM and 11:59PM


Will I enjoy the bonus if I recharge via other recharge channels?

Yes, you will receive the bonus via Physical, Logical, DYA, VTU recharges as well as recharges from your bank account.


What benefits will I enjoy from the Welcome Back offer?

Upon successful Opt-in, you will be able to enjoy the following benefits for 3 months:

  • 300% bonus on all recharges from N100 to N1000 (200% of the bonus will be used for National Calls/SMS and 100% for data on ALL recharges) AND 150MB TGIF Data Bonus {Once A week}.

What can I use the 300% Bonus and 150MB TGIF Data Bonus offer for?

After receiving the 300% bonus, 200% bonus will be used for Voice calls & SMS to all networks in Nigeria and the 100% bonus will be used for Data. You will also receive 150MB ONCE every week to browse the internet ONLY on Friday.

Note: The face value of the amount recharged will be converted to the 300% bonus and credited to the Welcome Back bonus dedicated account.

Will I receive the 300% Bonus and 150MB TGIF data bonus after my first recharge?

You will ONLY receive the 300% Bonus & 150MB TGIF Data bonus on your first recharge if you have already opted in for the Welcome back offer. However, if you have NOT opted in for the offer on your first recharge, you will NOT receive the bonus but will receive an opt-in menu. After opting in, you will begin to enjoy 300% bonus & TGIF bonus on subsequent recharges.


What will happen if my recharge during the 3 months offer period is less than N100 after opting in for the offer?

If your recharges are less than N100, you will NOT receive the 300% bonus AND the applicable tariff bonus even if you are on a tariff plan that awards bonus on recharge for the specified amount. However, the recharge amount will be credited to your main account.

Example: if an eligible customer on New BetaTalk who has opted in for the offer, recharges with N50, s/he will NOT receive the 300% bonus because the minimum recharge amount to enjoy the bonus is N100 AND will NOT receive the 150% BetaTalk Tariff plan Bonus. However, the N50 will be credited to your main account.


What will happen if my recharge during the 3 months offer period is greater than N1000?

If your recharge(s) is greater than N1000, you will receive the 300% bonus on N1000 and the excess will be credited to your main account.

Example: if the amount recharged is N1500, you will receive 300% on N1000 and the excess of N500 will be credited to your main account.


Will I be able to opt-out of this offer?

Will I be able to opt-in again after opting-out?

No, once you opt-out of the offer you will NOT be able to opt-in during the offer period.


I am a returning customer on the New Betatalk plan, will I enjoy both the 300% bonus and my BetaTalk bonus on the same recharge amount?

No, you will ONLY receive the 300% bonus on your recharge during the offer period. However, subsequent recharges after the offer period will reward you with the 150% or 250% bonus where applicable.


Will I be able to transfer the 300% bonus received?

No, you will NOT be able to transfer the bonus.


Will I get the 300% bonus and TGIF Bonus when I receive airtime via Share N’ Sell?

No, you will NOT be able to receive the 300% bonus when you receive airtime via Share N sell. You can ONLY receive the bonus via the approved recharge channels.


Will I be able to enjoy the offer after 3 months?

After the third month, you will stop enjoying the 300% bonus on your recharges BUT you will continue to enjoy the applicable bonus on your tariff plan.


Can I use the bonus for International Calls?

No, you will NOT be able to use the bonus for International calls. All your International calls will be charged from your main account and at standard international rate.


What is the validity of the 300% and TGIF bonus?

The bonus validity for the 300% bonus depends on the amount recharged. Please refer to the table below:

How do I access the Welcome Back Special Data Bundles?

To access the Welcome Back special data plans, simply dial the USSD code, *131*65#. This will display the available Welcome Back special data plans and allow you to select.


Can I subscribe to the special data bundle plans through SMS?

Yes, you can. Simply send the keyword of your preferred Welcome back special data plan to 131. See table 3 below for full list of MTN’s Welcome back special data bundle plans with the activation keyword for the different plans.


Wow, I just received a pop-up menu to choose either One-off or the Auto renewal option after activating the special data bundle. What does this mean?

The Pop-up menu  is a new feature that allows you to set your special data bundle on One-off or Auto renewal:

One-Off Purchase means that your special data bundle will NOT auto-renew after expiry.
Auto renewal means your special data bundle will auto-renew after expiry.


If I cancel the Pop-Up Menu or it times out before selecting an option, will my Welcome Back special data bundle be on One-off or Recurrent option?

If you cancel the Pop-Up Menu or it times out before selecting an option, your special bundle will be on One-off purchase. This means that your special data bundle will not auto-renew upon expiry.


If my Special data bundle is on One-off option, will I be able to opt in for Auto renewal or opt-in to renew the bundle?

Yes, you will be able to opt in for Auto renewal by sending R+bundle keyword to 131.

Example: If you have an active 250MB 3 Days special data bundle that is on One-off option, you will be able to renew it by sending RWBD1 to 131.


Will I be able to cancel auto-renewal anytime?

Yes, you will be able to cancel auto-renewal on your bundle anytime by sending No+Bundle code to 131, e.g. NoWBD1 to 131.


What happens when I cancel auto-renewal on my bundle?

Once you cancel auto-renewal, the bundle will expire and will NOT renew.


What are the different MTN Welcome Back special data plans?

They are 3 days, 7 days, and 30 days. See table 3 below.


Will my Welcome Back special data bundle roll over my unused data?

Yes, you will be able to roll over any unused Welcome Back special data bundle as long as you buy another bundle before the current bundle expires within 3 month of the offer.

Will I still be able to subscribe for MTN data bundle plan?
Yes, you will be able to subscribe to any MTN data bundle plan and enjoy all benefits of the bundle you activated.


How do I check my MTN Welcome Back special data balance?

To check your Welcome Back special data balance, simply dial *131*65#, then select balance option. You can also dial *131*4# on your mobile phone.


Can I purchase more than one type of the Welcome Back special data bundle at the same time?

Yes, you can purchase more than one type of the special data bundle at the same time, BUT each data bundle purchased will have its own unique expiry dates.

Example: You can activate the 250MB 3 days, 1GB Weekly & 4GB Monthly bundle at the same time.


Can I purchase a Special data bundle multiple times?

No, you can only activate the bundles within a specified period.

  • For 250MB 3-Day bundle, you will be able to purchase it ONCE a day for 3 months.
  • For 1GB Weekly bundle, you will be able to purchase it ONCE a week for 3 months.
  • For 4GB Monthly bundle, you will be able to purchase it ONCE a month for 3 months.

What happens if I exhaust my Welcome Back special data bundle before the renewal date?

As soon as you exhaust your Special data bundle before the expiry date, your data access would be suspended and you will not be able to browse again. To continue browsing, you will need to do one of the following:

  • Buy another Welcome Back special data plan by dialling *131*65#
  • Buy MTN data plan by dialling *131*1#
  • Borrow data by dialling *606#
  • Opt-in for Pay-As-You-Go browsing by dialling *131*200# to continue browsing from your airtime @N3/MB.

Will I be able to enjoy 100% data bonus for my new device on Welcome Back special data plan?

No, you will only enjoy the 100% device offer if you purchase normal MTN data bundle plan.


I’m currently enjoying the special WinBack data bundle, will this new rule be applicable to me?

Yes, you can only purchase the bundle within the specified period.
