To activate MTN YafunYafun simply do the following:
- Buy a new SIM, register and activate it and then select MTN YafunYafun tariff plan from the USSD Menu that will be displayed.

Q. Wow, I just noticed that I have received FREE N500 airtime on my line. What does this mean?
A. The FREE N500 airtime is preloaded airtime that you can use for calls, SMS & data. You will be able to use the FREE airtime ONCE you have activated your line and have performed a chargeable activity from the main account. (E.g. Calls, SMS, Data).
Q. What do I need to do to be on MTN YafunYafun?
A. To be on MTN YafunYafun2.0 and enjoy the benefits, do the following:
- Simply buy a new SIM, register and activate it and then select MTN YafunYafun tariff plan from the IVR or USSD Menu that will follow.
- However, if you fail to choose a tariff plan, you will be migrated to the YafunYafun plan by default.

A.Simply start using the line by making calls, sending SMS or browsing, then you will be able to use your N500
Q. How can I recharge airtime on my YafunYafun 2.0 plan to enjoy the N500 preloaded airtime and 700% bonus on recharge?
A. Customers will be able to recharge on YafunYafun 2.0 using any of the following
- Physical Recharge
- On-Demand channels
Q. I just made my first call of the day with sufficient airtime in my main account and YafunYafun 2.0 bonus account but I was charged from main account instead of my N500 preloaded airtime. Is this correct?
A. Yes, your first 1 minute call of the day will now be charged from your main account, after which subsequent charges will occur from your N500 preloaded airtime bonus account and other bonus accounts.
Q. Will my first call be charged from main account every day?
A. Yes, your first 1 minute call will be charged from your main account on a daily basis. The charging counter will reset by 11:5PM mid-night and start again counting from 12:00am.
If customer makes his/her first 1 minute call of the day by 9:00am, once its 11:59pm, the charging counter will reset and the customer will be required to make another 1 minute from main account by 12:00am the next day.
Q. What happens if the airtime in my main account is less than 1 minutes?
A. If the airtime in your main account is less than 1 minute, the available airtime in your main account will be used for calls after which subsequent charges will occur from your N500 preloaded airtime account and other YafunYafun 2.0 bonus accounts.
If customer has N20 in his/her main account and N100 in YafunYafun2.0 bonus account. Call charges will begin from the N20 and once exhausted, charges will continue form the YafunYafun2.0 bonus account.
Q. What happens if I have N0 airtime in my main account and N200 in my YafunYafun 2.0 account?
A. Your calls will be charged from your YafunYafun account. However, if you recharge the same day, your next 60 seconds call will then be charged from your main account after which your calls will be charged from your YafunYafun bonus account until it is exhausted.
Q. What happens to my number after 3 months?
A. After the third month, you will stop enjoying the 700% bonus on ALL recharges AND the system will automatically migrate you to MTN BetaTalk tariff plan where you continue to enjoy exciting bonuses.
Q. Will I continue to enjoy the 100% Data bonus after I have been migrated out of the YafunYafun 2.0 plan on the third month?
A. Yes, you will enjoy the 100% Data Bonus for one (1) month more.
Q. If I activate a data bundle 2months after activating my line on YafunYafun 2.0, will I enjoy the 100% bonus on Data activation for the next 3months?
A. No, you will ONLY enjoy the 100% data bonus on the remaining 2months.
Q. I have been enjoying 700% Bonus on recharge (500% for Voice and SMS & 200% for Data) will I still enjoy the 100% data bonus?
A. No, you will continue to enjoy the offers on your current MTN YafunYafun2.0 plan.
Q. What can I use the airtime bonus for?
A. The N500 (N400 voice and N100 data) preloaded airtime can be used for calls to all local networks and data to browse on all websites. You will also be able to use the 700% recharge bonus (500% for voice and SMS and 200% for data) for calls to ALL Local Networks in Nigeria and browse on all websites.
Q. Will I be able to enjoy 100% Data bonus on auto-renewals?
A. Yes, you will enjoy 100% data bonus when you renew your data bundle subscription.
Q. What is the validity of the airtime bonus?
A. The N500 preloaded airtime is valid for 7 days and is a one off. The 700% recharge bonus is also valid for 7 days after which all unused bonus will clear. If you recharge again before your bonus expires, you will receive another bonus but all bonus received will expire separately on their respective day of expiry.
Q. What is the validity of the data bonus?
A. The 100% bundle will have the same validity with the main data bundle activated.
Q. I just bought a new device, will I get the 100% device bonus in addition to the 100% Data Bonus?
A. No, you will ONLY get the 100% Data Bonus on YafunYafun plan.
Q. Can I migrate out of MTN YafunYafun 2.0 to another tariff plan before the third month?
A. Yes, you will be able to migrate out of MTN YafunYafun plan to any other tariff plan before the end of the third month, however, you will:
- Still be able to use the N500 preloaded airtime before it expires
- Lose any unused 700% recharge bonus
- You will NOT be able to enjoy the 700% bonus on recharge.
- You will NOT be able to migrate back to MTN YafunYafun tariff plan.
Q. Can I use the bonus for International Calls?
A. No, you will NOT be able to use the bonus for International calls. All your International calls will be charged from your main account and at the applicable international rate.
Q. How do I check my airtime and data bonus balance?
To check your balance simply do the following:
- Dial *556# to check your main account and total airtime bonus.
- Dial *559*43#* to view details of the bonus (total bonus, earliest bonus to expire, N500 preloaded airtime and expiry date)
- Dial *131*4# to check your data bundle and data bonus.
- Send 2 to 131.
Q. What should I do to get the 10MB Data Bonus on First Recharge offer?
A. You can get the 10MB Data Bonus when you make your first recharge of the month via the eligible recharge channels listed below:

Q. If I have an active data bundle and I also have the Free 10MB Data Bonus on First recharge on my line, which data will be used first?
A. The 10MB Data Bonus on recharge will be used first before your active data bundle.
Q. Can I use the 10MB Data bonus to browse all websites?
A. Yes, you can use the data to browse all websites at any time of the day. There is no restriction on the websites you can access with the data bonus.
Q. What is the validity of the free 10MB data bonus?
A. The Free 10MB Data bonus is valid for 30days from the date of allocation.
Q. Will I be able to share my free 10MB data Bonus on recharge?
A. No. Your free 10MB Data Bonus on recharge cannot be shared/transferred to another line.
Q. Will I be able to use the free 10MB data bonus on recharge when I migrate of of MTN Betatalk?
A. You WILL be able to use the free 10MB data bonus on recharge when you migrate out to another eligible tariff plan (i.e. MTN BetaTalk, MTN XtraSpecial or MTN XtraValue) and if the bonus is still within validity.
However, you will NOT be able to use the 10MB data bonus offer if you migrate to any of the ineligible tariff plan (i.e. MTN Pulse or MTN mPulse).

A. Your calls/SMS from main and bonus accounts will be charged as follows:
