What is MTN Prestige?

MTN Prestige is a Loyalty scheme designed to recognize and reward MTN Premium customers, based on their cumulative spend and (or) tenure on the network within a 12-month spend cycle.


What is the difference between Spend and Tenure?

Spend refers to the amount of monthly or cumulative recharges a customer uses on the MTN network.

Tenure refers to how long a customer has been on the MTN network.

The MTN Prestige “Circle of Distinction” is for Customers who:

  • Spend between a minimum of N5, 000 monthly and N600,000 annually (5 spend bands) OR
  • Have spent up to 10 years on the MTN network.

What class of customers are eligible to be a part of the MTN Prestige?

It is available to ALL MTN prepaid, post-paid and e-post-paid customers. This means all subscribers on our various price plans – Betatalk, Trutalk, Pulse, Ipulse, Smooth Talk, Supersaver, Xtravalue and Xtraspecial.


How do I qualify to be an MTN Prestige member?

Qualification into the MTN Prestige “Circle of Distinction” is automatic once a customer consistently spends up to N5,000 monthly and a cumulative spend of up to N600,000 for a 12 month period in their spend cycle.

The eligible customers are classified into 5 Spend Bands, Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Yellow. These categories are dependent on their status on the network based on spend.

Customers who have spent 10 years and above on the network also qualify, and will attain the status of Prestige “Ivory” Customers.


What are the benefits of being an MTN Prestige member?

Being an MTN prestige member gives you such benefits as special recognition on the Network, preferential treatment (such as your very own Account officer and access to VIP Airport lounges and events), elite privileges, luxurious care and a lot more exciting and exclusive experiences.

The Category of privileges received is dependent on your prestige tier status.


Are customers notified of their qualification to become an MTN Prestige member?

Yes, customers will be notified of their qualification status at the beginning of a new month, once the previous month spend/tenure reaches the threshold (N5, 000 or 10 years)


What qualifies me to become a Prestige IVORY Customer and what are the benefits?

If you have spent a minimum of 10 years on the MTN network, you automatically qualify to be a Prestige Ivory customer and will enjoy the following benefits:

  • Voice and Data Gifting
  • Other Exciting offers

What qualifies me to become a Prestige YELLOW customer and what benefits do I get?

With a minimum spend of N5, 000 monthly and N60, 000 over a 12month spend cycle (January to December), you automatically qualify to be a Prestige Yellow customer and will enjoy the following benefits:

  • Access to Special discounts on Lifestyle Benefits
  • Voice and Data Gifting
  • Free SIM Swap

What qualifies me to become a Prestige BRONZE customer and what are my benefits?

With a minimum spend of N10, 000 monthly and N120, 000 annually (January to December), you automatically qualify to be a bronze customer and will enjoy the following benefits:

What qualifies me to become a Prestige SILVER customer and what are my benefits?

With a minimum monthly spend of N20, 000 and N240, 000 over a 12 month cycle (January to December), you automatically qualify to be a Silver customer and will enjoy the following benefits:

Does MTN Prestige membership expire?

Yes, MTN Prestige membership is valid for one year and can be renewed depending on your spend. A customer’s average monthly spend must remain above the N5,000 threshold for two consecutive months within his/her 12 month spend cycle.


Will I be notified of my Prestige membership expiration?

Yes, you will be notified of your membership expiration through SMS, e-newsletters, your dedicated Relationship Officer and My MTNApp.
