Q. What is Device Finance?

A. It is a small asset financing digital loan product for salary earners who meet the Bank’s lending risk acceptance criteria. This loan allows customers to purchase goods and services under an instalment payment arrangement.


Q. What is Device Finance x Samsung Galaxy S22 Series Campaign?

Access Bank has partnered with Samsung for the release of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. Through this scheme Access Bank salaried customers can get a Device Finance loan, with a 50% discount on the interest rate. Through this campaign, non-Access Bank salaried customers can also get the discounts and freebies (i.e. Samsung Buds 2, travel chargers, etc.) on every purchase of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series and Tab S8 devices without a loan.


Q. How do I know if I qualify for Device Finance?

A. Device Finance loans are currently only available to customers with an active Access Bank salary account. If you have an Access Bank salary account, you still may not be approved for the loan if you fail to meet any of the other lending criteria set by Access Bank.


Q. What can I get with Device Finance?

A. You can choose any of the smartphones on the QuickBucks app or website. Select Device Finance to see all the brand-new smartphones available to you, based on your maximum loan amount.


Q. How do I request a Device Finance loan?

A. Sign up for a QuickBucks account then request a Device Finance loan via. See below for steps:

  • Download the Quickbucks app from your app store
  • Enter your email address and BVN linked phone number
  • An OTP will be sent to you via SMS for verification. Upon verification, create an app password (used to log into the app) and PIN (used in transacting)
  • Input personal details such as location, address, name, salary account name and number, BVN etc. Then agree/consent to terms and conditions
  • Click on the ‘device finance’ console. Select the phone of your choice and fill in required details
  • Click on ‘get this device’. Accept the T&C
  • Customer receives a transaction code via mail with other requirements for pickup of device (selected MTN Service centre)

Q. Does my salary account have to be in Access Bank before I can apply for Device Finance?

A. Yes, your account needs to be in Access Bank and needs to be active for at least three (3) months.


Q. What is the interest rate for a Device Finance loan?

A. The interest rate for Device Finance is 13.5% flat per annum, which comes to approximately 1.1% monthly.


Q. What is the repayment period for Device Finance?

A. 12 months (360 days)


Q. How much can I get with Device Finance?

A. The maximum amount (i.e., eligible amount) you are allowed to borrow is subject to your annual salary and is displayed when you sign into the QuickBucks app or website.


Q. How much equity contribution is required with Device Finance?

A. The Device Finance x Samsung Galaxy S22 Series campaign does not require equity contribution – buy now and pay later!


Q. How much salary should I earn to qualify for Device Finance?

A. You must earn a minimum salary of ₦40,000 for the Device Finance x Samsung Galaxy S22 Series campaign.


Q. What can prevent me from qualifying for Device Finance?

A. You may be denied a Device Finance loan for the following reasons:

  • If you have any outstanding loan(s) in Access Bank or other banks.
  • If you apply using a phone number that is not linked to your BVN.
  • If there is no evidence that you received salary payment in the previous month.
  • If you have taken another digital loan and exceeded your eligible amount.
  • If you have an existing loan and the monthly repayment is higher than your eligible amount.

Q. What if I have other existing loans, can I still get a Device Finance loan?

A. If you have existing loans, your monthly repayment(s) (equated monthly instalment – EMI) will be used in calculating your maximum loan amount. Your maximum loan amount is calculated as 30% of your annual salary, less any monthly loan repayments. If the monthly repayment is higher than your monthly repayments, you will not be able to take a Device Finance loan.


Q. How long does it take to get a loan?

A. You can pick up your device anytime within 3 working days after your successful request. You can pick up your device from any of our partner outlets across the country. During the request process, you will be asked to select your preferred pick-up location from a list of partner outlets.


Q. How many times can I request a loan?

A. As many times as you may like if you have not exceeded your eligible amount.


Q. When is the Device Finance loan due for repayment?

A. Your Device Finance loan will be repaid in twelve monthly instalments every 30 days from the day the loan was taken, and the repayment amount will be automatically deducted from your account, subject to your selected repayment period.


Q. Can I repay my Device Finance loan early?

A. You can pay off your loan before the scheduled repayment date. To do so, call Access Bank on +234 700 300 0000; send an e-mail to contactcenter@accessbankplc.com; or visit any Access Bank branch to pay off your loans.


Q. What happens if my account is not funded for repayment on the due date?

A. The loan amount will be deducted from any funds entering your account. If the loan is overdue, a deduction will be made from any account linked to your BVN.


Q. Is there any penalty for not repaying the loan on time?

A. You will be charged 1% of the outstanding loan amount per month, 31 days after the loan due date.


Q. Are devices under the campaign covered by warranty?

A. Yes, devices are covered by the Samsung warranty. Although, this does not include physical and water damage. However, through the campaign, customers are offered discounts on screen repairs with Samsung Care+.


Q. Are devices under the campaign covered by insurance?

A. No, devices are not insured. Please insure your devices against theft and physical and water damages.


Q. Is the Device Finance smartphone financing scheme available to all mobile networks?

A. Device Finance smartphone financing is available to customers on all mobile networks. However, you can enjoy added value benefits when you opt-in for an MTN airtime and/or data package.


Q. Am I obligated to select the monthly airtime bundle offer with the Device Finance smartphone financing loan?

A. The monthly airtime bundle is optional and available to MTN users.


Q. Will the Device Finance smartphone financing airtime credited be rolled over if unused within the month?

A. Unused airtime will be rolled over every month.


Q. Can the airtime be used to buy data or call other networks?

A. Yes, you can call other networks and convert airtime into data if needed.


Q. What happens if the asset I picked up/delivered is faulty?

A. Please check and confirm that your device is sealed and not tampered with at the point of collection. If you receive a faulty device, send in a complaint within 48 hours of collection. Only devices that are found to be defective at the point of collection will be replaced within 14 – 21 working days.

Q. What is MTN – Intelligra Bundle?

A. This is a novel service that enables you subscribe to a bundle From MTN that contains Data, Voice, SMS & a “free” Device. The bundle is in form of a contract which you subscribe to monthly for an agreed number of months ranging from 6 – 12 months.


Q. How much am I required to make monthly for each of the duration?

A. The required amount and device are subject to the credit limit assigned, as approved by the financial institution.


Q. Who can qualify for this offer?

A. Customers on the MTN network have been pre-qualified for the bundle. You would have received an SMS from MTN indicating that you have been prequalified for the offer. Customers who successfully complete an application in-store will walk out with the Bundle.


Q. How much is the MTN – Intelligra Bundle?

A. The bundle starts from as low as N7,000/month which includes Data, Voice + a “Free” Smartphone for a range of 6 – 12 months with the first month bundle price paid upfront

* kindly note that for the required duration signed up for (12-month, 9-month or 6-month), you will not be able to use any other telco network SIM in the SIM one until you have successfully completed the payment plan signed up for. Immediately, after completion, the device will be opened for life. Here you are allowed to use any choice network SIM in either SIM one or SIM two.

Q. What do I need to get the Bundle?

A. Once you get an SMS that you qualify for the bundle, you are required to visit the nearest participating store with the following list:

    1. Prequalification in the MTN system
    2. Identity Card: National Identity Card
    3. BVN (Bank Verification Number): Dial *565*0#
    4. First month subscription fee
    5. Down payment (where applicable)

Q. How do I remit the monthly commitment?

A. By recharging your MTN number with the bundle fee monthly through the Customer360 app. This app is installed into your choice device and would be set up for you at the point of sales right before you leave the store. Please see Pictorial guide below,

    1. Open your Customer360 app, Click the 3 lines beside the Home icon and select account Top-up
    2. Enter your recharge pin and select Fund account’’

You will also be able to make your monthly payment by recharging your main account. Kindly note that only your full monthly payment can be made with either your dedicated Customer360 account or main account.


Q. Can I make my monthly commitment in advance?

A. Yes! Just open the customer360 app and recharge anytime as shown above OR dial *812*PIN# on your financed smartphone.


Q. What happens if I don’t meet my monthly commitment?

A. Your phone will be locked. You will not be able to make calls or use any phone functionality aside from Emergency call, switch on mobile data/ Wi-Fi & Customer360 app

Q. How do I unlock my phone?

A. By recharging your line with your monthly bundle commitment and this can be done through the lock screen by opening the Customer360 app as show above OR by activating the self-unlock.


Q. How do I locate your service center if I want to repair my phone?

Q. How do I complete my payment when there is an unfortunate case of phone theft/lost?

A. In a situation where our customer phone is reportedly stolen* or lost*, there is a one-time offer to replace your phones. The customer is expected to report to Intelligra office with a copy of the following;

    1. Police report
    2. Sworn affidavit
    3. Receipt of purchase
    4. Any valid means of ID

*Covers a one-time replacement of either device or damaged screen and not both.


Q. Is there warranty for the Devices?

A. Yes, there is 12months Manufacturer’s Warranty for the Devices**

A. No, only your existing registered SIM can be used to enroll for the scheme.


Q. What if I forget to make my monthly commitment?
