Retail Code is a solution that enables subscribers purchase electronic airtime without disclosing their phone numbers.
How It Works
Retail Code operates on a unique USSD code *878# with the following steps:
- You walk up to a Retailer and ask for his 6-digit Retailer Code, then dial *878* Retailer Code*Amount# Example – *878*126478*500#
- A token is generated.
- Share the token with the Retailer, who uses the token to complete the transaction (after payment has been made)
Retail Code is available to All MTN subscribers.
