Y’ello Doctor Project
The project involves the provision of free medical care and drugs for people in semi-urban and rural areas in Nigeria through mobile clinics.
Six state-of-the-art mobile medical vehicles were deployed in 6 States (Delta, Ogun, Katsina, Taraba, Abia, and Niger) focused on the treatment of common communicable/childhood diseases and treatment and referral for non-communicable disease.
The project is aimed at providing support to the Nigerian Primary Health Care System to improve access to primary health care through the mobile medical clinics’ platform.
Since 2014, over 646,719 people have benefited from health information, screened and accessed health services in the communities across the six states (Delta, Ogun, Katsina, Taraba, Abia, and Niger). It is in alignment with SDG 3-Good Health & Well-Being.
