Q.   What is MTN AWUF4U?

MTN AWUF4U is an offer that rewards Customers with 200% airtime bonus on every recharge below N100 and 300% airtime bonus on every recharge from N100 and above when they recharge using a special code, *888*PIN# or via VTU

Q.  Who can enjoy the offer?

AWUF4U offer will be available to all MTNN Prepaid and Postpaid customers

Q.  Will I receive the airtime bonus if I recharge through VTU?

Yes, you will receive the airtime bonus when you recharge via VTU

Q. Will I get the airtime bonus if I receive Share & sell from a friend?

No, you will NOT receive any bonus if you receive any airtime from Share & sell.

Q.  How do I get the airtime bonus? 

Simple, Just recharge using *888*Recharge PIN# OR via VTU channel

As soon as your recharge is successful, the full face value of the recharge and the airtime bonus will be credited in your Awuf4U account.

• If you recharge with N100, you will get N400 in your Awuf4U account i.e. N100 (recharge value) + N300 (bonus)
• If you recharge with N400, you will get N1,600 in your Awuf4U account i.e. N400 (recharge value) + N1,200 (bonus)
• If you recharge with N750, you will get N3,000 in your Awuf4U account i.e. N750 (recharge value) + N2,250 (bonus)
• If you recharge with N1,500, you will get N6,000 in your Awuf4U account i.e. N1,500 (recharge value) + N4,500 (bonus)

Q.  Will I receive the bonus if I recharge using the normal recharge code, *555*PIN#? 

If you recharge using *555*PIN#, you will NOT receive the 200% or 300% airtime bonus BUT will receive the bonus applicable to that recharge code if available on your plan.

What services can I use the airtime in my Awuf4U for?

The airtime in your Awuf4U can be used for the following services:

• Calls to ALL Networks in Nigeria @ N27/min (45k/sec)
• SMS to ALL Networks in Nigeria @ N4/SMS capped at 75 SMS weekly
• • International calls to 18 (eighteen) destinations @ N39.6/min (66k/sec)
• PAYG data browsing @ N15/MB

How do I know the eligible international countries to call?

You will receive an SMS with the list of the 18 eligible international countries on your first recharge of the day using *888*PIN#.

Which countries are in the eligible international destinations?

Will I be able to subscribe to any service (Data bundle, MTN back up, caller tunez, MTN play, VAS etc.) from my Awuf4U account?

You will not be able to subscribe to any service from your Awuf4U account BUT you can still subscribe to these services from your normal main account.

What is the validity of the airtime in my Awuf4U account?

The airtime in the Awuf4U account will be valid for 14 days or 30 days depending on the recharge band.

• : After expiry, all unused airtime will be cleared from the dedicated account.

Q.  What happens if I exhaust the airtime in my Awuf4U account?

   As soon as you exhaust the airtime in your Awuf4U account, your calls, SMS and data will be charged from your main account at your default tariff plan rate only if you have enough airtime.

Q.  What happens if I recharge again with Awuf4U code?

1. In the event that you recharge again with Awuf4U code, your calls, SMS and Data will then be charged from your Awuf4U account and at Awuf4U rate.

Q.  How can I check my Awuf4U account balance?

1. You can check your Awuf4U account balance by dialling the USSD code *559*14#.

Q.  Will I lose the airtime in my Awuf4U account if I migrate to any other plan?

1. If you migrate to any other plan, you will NOT lose the airtime in your Awuf4U account.

Q.  Will I be able to use the airtime in my Awuf4U account in the new plan?

1. Yes, if you migrate to another plan, you will be able to use the airtime in your Awuf4U account but your calls, SMS and Data will still be charged at Awuf4U rate.

Q.  Will I be able to transfer airtime from my Awuf4U account to another customer’s account through Share & sell?

1. No, you will NOT be able to transfer airtime from your Awuf4U account to another customer’s account through Share & sell.

1. How many SMS will I be able to send from my Awuf4U account?

1. You will be able to send 75 SMS from your Awuf4U account weekly. You can choose to send the 75 SMS in a day but thereafter all your SMS will be charged from your main account.

1. If I do not have airtime in my main account after sending the 75 SMS, will I be able to send SMS?

   ---

1. No, you will not be able to send SMS again until after 7 days or whenever you recharge again.

Q.  Is there a restriction on the number of SMS I can send from my main account?

1. No, you can send as many SMS as you want from your main account as long as you have enough airtime.

Q.  How will I know when I have exhausted my 75 SMS?

1. You will receive a usage threshold notification at 80% usage and at 100% usage.
