Will I be charged an access fee when I subscribe to MTN BetaTalk?

No, you will not be charged any access for subscribing to MTN BetaTalk.


How many times can I migrate in and out of MTN BetaTalk?

You will NOT be charged for migrating into BetaTalk tariff plan if it is your first time in 30 days. Bu subsequent migrations within the same month will attract a migration fee of N100.


If I am an MTN Postpaid customer, can I migrate to MTN BetaTalk?

No, MTN Postpaid customers CANNOT migrate to MTN BetaTalk tariff plan.


What do I need to do to enjoy airtime bonus on recharge?

To enjoy 150% bonus on recharge, recharge with airtime below N100 but to enjoy 250% bonus on recharge, recharge with N100 and above.


Will I receive the airtime bonus if I recharge through VTU?

Yes, you will be able to receive the airtime bonus when you recharge via VTU, On-Demand, Physical and Logical recharges.
**You will NOT be able to receive the airtime bonus if you receive airtime via Share N Sell.


How should I recharge in order to receive the bonus?

You should use the normal account recharge code (*555*) or recharge his/her account using VTU with N100 and above.
Note: If you are using any other recharge code apart from *555*, you will NOT receive the bonus on recharge.


How can I check my bonus balance?

You can check your main account and bonus balances by dialing the USSD code *556#.


What is the validity of the airtime bonus?

The airtime bonus is valid for 7 days.


I just made my first call of the day with sufficient airtime in my main account and BetaTalk bonus account but I was charged from main account instead of my bonus account. Is this correct? 

Yes, your first 1 minute call of the day will now be charged from your main account, after which subsequent charges will occur from your BetaTalk bonus account or other bonus accounts.


Will my first call be charged from main account every day? 
Yes, your first 1 minute call will be charged from your main account on a daily basis. The charging counter will reset by 11:59PM mid-night and start again counting from 12:00am.

Example
If customer makes his/her first 1 minute call of the day by 10:00am, once its 11:59pm, the charging counter will reset and the customer will be required to make another 1 minute from main account by 12:00am the next day.


What happens if the airtime in my main account is less than 1 minutes?

If the airtime in your main account is less than 1 minute, the available airtime in your main account will be used for calls after which subsequent charges will occur from your BetaTalk bonus account or other bonus accounts. 

Example
If customer has N20 in his/her main account and N100 in BetaTalk bonus account. Call charges will begin from the N20 and once exhausted, charges will continue form the BetaTalk bonus account.


What happens if I have N0 airtime in my main account and N200 in my BetaTalk account?

Your calls will be charged from your BetaTalk account. 
However, if you recharge the same day, your next 60 seconds call will then be charged from your main account after which your calls will be charged from your BetaTalk bonus account until it is exhausted.


Will my bonus clear on expiry even if I have not exhausted the bonus?

Yes, if you have not exhausted your bonus on expiry, all unused bonus will be cleared from the bonus account.


Will I be able to send airtime to my friends and family via Share and Sell?

No, you will not be able to use Share N Sell service while on MTN BetaTalk plan BUT you will be able to receive airtime via Share n Sell.


Will I be able to receive airtime bonus when I receive airtime from my friend via Share and Sell?

No, you will not receive airtime bonus when you receive airtime from your friend via Share N Sell.


Will I be able to purchase XtraValue Bundle while on BetaTalk plan?

Yes, you will be able to purchase XtraValue Bundle while on BetaTalk plan but you will be migrated to Xtravalue plan to enjoy the bundle.


Will I be able to use my airtime bonus if I migrate out of BetaTalk plan?

Once you migrate out of BetaTalk plan, you will not be able to use your airtime bonus on the new plan BUT once you migrate back to BetaTalk and the bonus is still valid you will still be able to use the airtime bonus.


I have a data bundle and a BetaTalk bonus, will my data activities be charged first from my BetaTalk bonus?

Your data activities will be charged first from your existing data bonus or main data bundle after which all data activities will be charged from your BetaTalk bonus.


Who can subscribe to 35MB Data bundle?

Only customers on the BetaTalk Plan can subscribe to 35MB daily data bundle.


How do I subscribe to 35MB Data Plans?

You will be able to subscribe to 35MB data plans via the following channels:

  • USSD: Dialling *131*114# or *131*1*1#
  • SMS: Sending 114 to 131 or B30 to 131

If my 35MB daily data bundle is on One-off option, will I be able to opt in for Recurrent option or renew the bundle?

Yes, you will be able to opt in for Recurrent option or renew the bundle by sending R114 to 131.


Will my unused data balance roll over if I activate a new 35MB daily bundle during the grace period?

  1. Yes, your unused balance will rollover if you activate a new 35MB daily data bundle within 1day grace period.

How do I check my 35MB BetaTalk balance?

You can check your 35MB balance via the following channels:

  • SMS: Texting 2 to 131
  • USSD: Dialing *131*4#
  • MyMTNApp

I just activated the 30MB daily bundle and got 35MB?

Once you are a BetaTalk customer and activate the 30MB daily bundle, you will receive 35MB


What is the validity of the 35MB daily data bundle?

The 35MB daily data bundle is valid for 1day.


What happens to my unused 35MB data after expiration?

You will be able to rollover the unused bundle only if you renew the bundle within 1-day grace period.


Will customers on other plans be able to activate the 35MB daily bundle?

No, customers on other plans will not be able to activate the 35MB daily bundle.


What happens if I exhaust my data bundle before the renewal date?

As soon as you exhaust your data bundle before the expiry, your data access will be suspended and you will not be able to browse again. To continue browsing, you will need to do one of the following:

  • Buy another 35MB data plan by texting B30 to 131 or other data bundles by dialing *131*1#.
  • Borrow data by dialing *606#.
  • Opt-in a Pay As You Go browsing by dialing *131*200# to continue browsing with your airtime @N3/MB.

No, you will NOT be able to share your 35MB data bundle.

You will be able to rollover the unused bundle only if you renew the bundle within 2-day grace period.

I just received a pop-up menu to choose either One-off or Recurrent option after activating the data bundle. What does this mean?

The Pop-up menu is a new feature that allows you to set your data bundle on One-off or Recurrent purchase:

  • One-Off Purchase means that your data bundle will not renew after expiry.
  • Recurrent Purchase means your data bundle will auto-renew after expiry.

If I exit the Pop-Up Menu or it times out before selecting an option, will my data bundle be activated?

If you exit the Pop-Up Menu or it times out before selecting an option, the bundle will not be activated.


Will I be able to cancel auto-renewal anytime?

Yes, you will be able to cancel auto-renewal on your bundle anytime by sending the opt-out keyword, NO114 to 131.


What should I do to get the 10MB Data Bonus on First Recharge offer?

You can get the 10MB Data Bonus when you make your first recharge of the month via the eligible recharge channels listed below:

  • Physical/Logical PIN
  • VTU
  • MTN On Demand
  • Bank/ DYA
  • Awuf4U

If I have an active data bundle and I also have the Free 10MB Data Bonus on First recharge on my line, which data will be used first?

The 10MB Data Bonus on recharge will be used first before your active data bundle.


 Can I use the 10MB Data bonus to browse all websites?

Yes , you can use the data to browse all websites at any time of the day. There is no restriction on the websites you can access with the data bonus.


What is the validity of the Free 10MB data bonus?

The Free 10MB Data bonus is valid for 30days from the date of allocation.

Generally, you can check the Free 10MB Data bonus on First recharge by dialling *556#. However, you can also check the data bonus when you dial *131*4#


Will I be able to share my Free 10MB data bonus on recharge?

No. Your Free 10MB Data Bonus on recharge can not be shared/transferred to another line


Will I be able to use the free 10MB data bonus on recharge when I migrate out of MTN Betatalk?

You WILL be able to use the free 10MB data bonus on recharge when you migrate out to another eligible tariff plan (i.e. MTN XtraSpecial or MTN XtraValue) and if the bonus is still within validity.

Generally, you can check the Free 10MB Data bonus on First recharge by dialling *556#. However, you can also check the data bonus when you dial *131*4#
